Mrs. Fall to Fight Quieter in El Paso Eviction
In El Paso on August 16, Mrs. Albert B. Fall and her daughter said they would combat eviction from the Fall ranch home. They argue past testimony by EB L. Doheny and the Teapot Dome affair implicate no gains for Doheny related to the 400 to 300 acres of Far West Texas land. Doheny allegedly bribed Fall with 160,099 dollars to influence ranch purchases, while Fall counters the foreclosure record and Doheny’s promise of a long lease on the Three Rivers property as long as he lived. Rent noted as twenty dollars a month for a four room unfurnished house at 309 South Hackberry.
