Goodyear Cord Tires Make Good Showing

Goodyear cord tires figured prominently in events at the Chicago Speedway. A Packard Twin Six with seven passengers, driven by Ralph DeTulan, completed laps at 63.8 mph, time verified by officials from the Chicago Auto Club and AAA, touted as a new world record. A five passenger Win Six reached 72.7 mph, another record. Enthusiasm ran high for tire performance with no trouble reported. Another Marmon trip from Indianapolis to the coast tested tires under varied conditions, ending with a telegram from San Francisco praising tire durability after 3100 miles and only one tire change.
