U S Steel Announces Price Increase On Sheet and Bar Goods
U S Steel Corp the nations largest producer announced a 4.5 percent base price rise for sheet and strip products used in auto and appliance manufacturing effective Oct 1 with no prior boosts this year. Prices for alloy and special quality bar products will rise about 5.8 percent, and steel class variants see increases up to 17.5 cents per pound.
