In Huntsville on August 14 John Trapper from Uvalde was executed after being convicted of slaying J. W. Haygond during an arrest attempt tied to the February murder of the Black person’s wife. The case involved police efforts to capture the killer.
Turin August reports place fatalities above 200 as dam above Ovada bursts, flooding valleys near Alessandria. Rescue crews describe overturned houses, buried furniture, and survivors fleeing through hills while relatives search for missing family members. Property damage is extensive. crops and infrastructure suffer severe losses.
The Junior Chamber of Commerce led by Theo Weiss, president, will address the Catholic Women's Association at 8 o clock Monday night about proposed Texas constitutional amendments.
