Test Foodstuffs Law Case Reaches Texas Supreme Court

A test of a pure food statute passed by the legislature may be appealed to the Supreme Court of Texas to determine its constitutional manner of enforcement. The Retail Merchants Association meeting Thursday night discussed rules for millers and retailers, with cities urged to enforce pure food regulations. A committee was formed to approach the city commission about household safety and motor vehicle driver rules, and secretary Grasse was asked to inform retail dealers of the need for detailed compliance. The by laws were not finalized, twelve new members admitted, and an ad for a general tonic with quinue and tronine appeared amid other notices.
