Perot sees war end as POW release possible soon
Ross Perot, financier and head of United We Stand, said there is a good chance the Vietnam War could end soon with all prisoners of war freed. He outlined a worldwide appeal to contact North Vietnam and to obtain POW information, noting political timing around the Nixon administration and post-election policies. Perot described ongoing efforts, including a jet-leasing campaign started in 1969, and stated that freeing POWs remains an issue between governments with United We Stand not directly involved.
