Despondent youth attempts suicide in city jail cell
A 17 year old arrested for auto theft leapt from his bunk in a city jail cell, struck the floor, and was found unconscious with a head wound. He was not seriously hurt after admission to Robert B Green Hospital. Detectives report the youth confessed to being tired of life and claimed he planned to kill himself. Three companions were arrested in connection with the auto theft and alleged plot to steal merchandise worth about 106 dollars for a Stansom Silshee delivery run.
