Army School of the Line opens at Fort Leavenworth

Special to the Light from Washington reports the opening of service emails at Fort Leavenworth on August 1. The 1098 officers are distributed among College staff five officers 1st Matructors 19 assistant instructors 22 college staff 17 algual school members and 89 Army School of the Line members. A special negro cavalry troop called the college attachment will handle horses. The Infantry and Cavalry School will be named the Army School of the Line.

Cuban Episcopal Seminary Plans in Havana

Plans to open a Protestant Episcopal theology seminary in Havana on September first. Bishop Blakey Knight, missionary bishop for Cuba, says candidates must study English before beginning ministry training in the United States.
