Restaurant Men to Fight Income Tax Ruling
United Press International reports Washington attorney Tom Powers, counsel for the National Restaurant Association, pleaded for $80 000 in Cincinnati to fund ads and a letter writing drive opposing IRS expense account rules. He warned of a large revenue loss and job cuts for the industry. Hotel operators echoed declines in business, with many venues reporting 12 to 15 percent drops as expense accounts tighten.
