A Amsterdam dispatch reports rumors of a Wilhelmshaven sailor revolt against submarine warfare. Claims say over fifty U boats disappeared as leaders are said to be sentenced to death. Emperor William reportedly canceled a Wilhelmshaven visit amid the ferment.
The Diamond Shoals lightship near Cape Hatteras was shelled and sunk by an enemy submarine late yesterday. The crew escaped in boats and reached shore safely. The submarine came within a half mile of shore before disappearing.
In 37th District Court August Glover pleads not guilty to murdering his wife Minnie Glover on November 2. Attorneys contest insanity and seek witnesses. jury selection continues with twelve jurors seated as testimony begins.
