Rumored 1000 Specials to Guard Terrell Election Day
Rumor circulates that 1000 special police will be appointed for Thursday’s Terrell election with blank commissions printed. Acting Mayor Richter and regular councilmen allegedly not making appointments. presiding officers at the polls may. Officials note Terrell law allows precinct presiding officers to appoint peace officers with no cap. County election in Bexar County was quiet, contradicting fears of mass policing. Mining firm plans $2 million expansion in Mexico
A. J. McQuarters, president of the Alvarado Mining & Milling Co, arrived in San Antonio to seal over $2 million in new facilities for its Mexican mining interests. He will be joined by company managers for a conference after returning from holdings in Parral district, Chihuahua.
