GO HOME IN STYLE FOR DISCHARGED CONNECTICUT MILITIAMAN
One hundred twenty four ex militia from the First Connecticut Infantry, stationed at Nogales Arizona, passed through San Antonio en route to Hartford to return home. They left Nogales after discharge for physical incompetency and traveled in a lavish train of Pullmans with two diners. They paid two months of salary and invested it in “going back home in style” as they head to final destinations. A second trainload of discharged men from Arizona is due Friday night over the Southern Pacific.
