Vesco Files Turned Over To Federal Grand Jury
Washington reports the State Department handed Vesco financial files to a New York grand jury probing his Lebanon dealings and U.S. contacts. Ehrlichman acknowledged meeting Vesco representatives but denied White House endorsement of a Beirut bank takeover. Vesco allegedly contributed 200000 to Nixon’s campaign, later returned amid questions of propriety. The grand jury now examines the contribution.
