Birds Mystify Birdmen at Rane Building
Personnel and visitors at Rane building reported a baffling scene Tuesday as numerous dead birds, mostly yellow and blue, lay around the administration area. Officials speculated storms or migration may have driven nonlocal species to the site, while others suggested a beacon atop the building caused the birds to collide. Live birds fluttered inside offices, and a blood-streaked sewing area attracted attention during attempts to remove them.
