Walsh and Burney to Build Negro High School and Highland Park Building
The school board awarded Walsh and Burney the contracts for a negro high school at the cane patch Highland Park and a second eight room building. The negro high school contract totals 80423 dollars and 29626 dollars for the Highland Park building due to deeper foundations. Both plans call for eight rooms with basements and the foundation cost explains the higher price. Construction will start immediately as the board seeks to begin work soon.
