Water Power as War Measure Urged by Senator Jones
Senator Wesley I. Jones declares Congress alone bears blame for delaying water power development. He urges swift passage of pending legislation to mobilize U S water power for wartime needs and economic strength, arguing development would make the United States impregnable in war and dominant in peace. He notes 1910 law restrictive, cites Germany and Austria as far ahead.
