Opinion Asked On Sewer Fee Discontinuing Service
City Attorney T D Dobbs Jr was asked to draft an opinion on whether the city may discontinue sewer service on San Francisco Street in Tes Angeles Heights if residents refuse to pay the $6 annual rental fee. Street Commissioner Paul Steffler reported 47 nearby residents have refused the fee for a system installed during suburban annexation that now lies outside city bounds. The commission agreed to support the view that service can be cut off, and warned residents that nonpayment will lead to discontinuation.
