Hotel Plan Referee Appointed for San Antonio River Site
City Council appointed a referee to mediate between the City Water Board and developer H B Zachry over a seven acre San Antonio River site across from the Hilton Palacio del Rio for a hotel extension. The Water Board cites a $47 million cost to relocate water lines. Zachry proposes under mains construction with no risk of main failure and a connected two story lobby and terrace. An alternate plan places the extension across Alain Street on the Allright Parking Lot serving the Convention Center.
