City of San Antonio approves plat and engineer statement for Austin Street upgrades from Carson to Sixth Street. Contract awarded to Uvalde Rock Asphalt Company with costs and special assessments set against abutting property, and a public hearing ordered to finalize the plan and funding.
City of San Antonio adopts a resolution establishing a uniform plan for street improvements to be paid by special assessments. It outlines front foot method, railroads possibly taxed, and a May 4, 1918 hearing for abutting property owners and their agents. The document is signed by Mayor Clinton G. Brown and City Clerk Fred Fries.
