Tax Assessments Move Forward in Bexar County Reappraisal
County Tax Assessor-Collector Charles G. Davis says a complete real property reappraisal in Bexar County will take two years with some results on 1973 tax rolls. A three member committee said field assessment teams have reappraised 10 000 to 11 000 parcels, about four to five percent of residences, under a federally funded program. A Wisconsin firm James Laird & Company will develop an appraisal manual and computerization for 78 500 dollars, as the committee votes to conduct ongoing joint city county appraisal work to avoid duplications and to meet every first and third Tuesday.

Viet Cong minister cites Viet Nam war toll and Paris talks
Madame Neuyon Thi Binh, Viet Cong foreign minister, claimed in Paris that South Vietnamese forces have lost 13,650 men in the Communist offensive aimed at undermining Nixon's Vietnamization plan. She said American troops fought alongside, and warned of a possible new U.S. military venture against North Vietnam as peace talks stall. The broadcast followed renewed calls for resumption of the Paris talks, which have not yet been formally requested by the Communists.
