Reservoir at Camp Travis Fails to Confine Water

A 700000 gallon reservoir at Camp Travis farm leaked, failing to hold winter water. Army officers noted a gravel layer beneath the bed as the cause. Plans call for replacing the gravel with a deeper coat, sealing the bottom and sides, and grading to stop leakage. If not remedied, bottom joints may fail and irrigation of the camp farm will rely on a direct Salado water supply.
