Allen Ardent Rally At Alamo For Third Liberty Bond

Maj. Gen. Henry T. Allen spoke to thousands at the Alamo in San Antonio launching the Third Liberty Loan drive. He urged funding to support the war, citing U boat threats and costs of military operations, and praised American resolve. Two Deaths Reported at Camp Thai? Base Hospital

Two enlisted men died of pneumonia at Camp Thai base hospital in early April. Private Henry Grindle of Lanerville Texas and Private Daniel Hy Norman of Kingfisher Company Fifth Battalion Depot Brigade died April 1 and April 4 respectively. Nearest relatives listed. bodies to be sent to Troup Texas for burial. Private Jesse L. Griner of the 18th Company Vattison will accompany remains home.
