Convicts to Gain Clemency View in Texas Pardon Tour
A Texas pardon advisory board led by former Senator W. P. Sebastian and Judge W. M. Blakeslee will tour prisons and state farms for two weeks to gather firsthand information on meritorious but friendless convicts. If deserving, they will recommend executive clemency to the governor. a 1915 tour led to about 150 pardons.
