In Pueblo de la Manana on June 21 1910 the cantina hosts the City cabinet including Corregidor Panadero regidor and Trazy as tension mounts over rock pricing and access. They recall old days when rock was free and blame changes on new rules. A demand is made for clarity with talk of a $1.40 per load increase.
The river and harbor bill with many items remains unsigned by President Taft and is open to vote. The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce pledges 5000 to entertain Roosevelt and the regiment, while Oklahoma City plays a competing bid.
In the Forty fifth District Court M H Schonman sues H C Lewis and G T Starns for 15000 damages over alleged malicious arrest. Juror R M Ellard was cited to show cause why he should not be held in contempt for saying he could influence the jury for pay, and the entire jury was discharged after the citation was issued.
Bisbee Arizona June 21 The Mexican customs house and post office at Naco Sonora were moved under guard after warning of an attack by revolutionists The Mexican consul near Naco received word of the planned assault and Mexican troops have been ordered to Naco to safeguard the border facility The line into Naco Ariz was patrolled by American deputy sheriffs and the customs house money was brought to the Mexican consul’s guarded residence
At Bates Park Beverly mass a fire destroyed the Century Club cottage and an adjoining summer residence. Two men Henry Barrett of Peabody and Bert McShane of Salem were burned to death. Three others were injured in the blaze that struck the vacation rental.
London police report a man matching Porter Charlton who killed his wife Mary Scott at Lake Como may be aboard the Deutschland bound for New York. He fell ill with appendicitis, refused surgery, and booked a second class single cabin passage to arrive in New York next Thursday.
Sheriff Anderson and Chief of Police Elis in Houston declare the Wendling case in Louisville murder reports unfounded. They say they did not telephone the governor and do not know who did. As of noon, Austin reports show no requisition application to the governor.
Austin Texas June 21 no application has been made to the governor by Kentucky authorities for requisition papers for the extradition of Joseph Wendling alleged murderer of Alma Kellner. A Houston caller said he would come after a requisition but did not confirm Wendling's case.
Nevada Governor Dickerson states Jeffries and Johnson cannot settle their argument claiming no slop or slander will be allowed. The chief executive defends press rights and calls for calm amid the dispute.
Governor Dickerson of Nevada, in Ogden, says he will not interfere with the Jeffries Johnson fight as Nevada laws license prize fighting. He cautions he will act if evidence shows a fake fight, but believes the contest is on its merits.

Frederick Moffet, 55, died Monday at noon at the county hospital. He had no known surviving relatives and formerly lived in Beaumont. He came to San Antonio a month ago seeking health. The funeral will be held this afternoon under the auspices of the Bartenders' Union, of which he was a member, with interment in City Cemetery No. 3.
