State Board of Pardons Interviews Convicts in City

The State Board of Pardons opened its season at the St Anthony Hotel with Judge Fritz presiding and Hammond Brooks assisting. Seven families toured from El Paso and other penal institutions sought pardon for inmates. hearings will continue in San Antonio and then Dallas as the board travels to major Texas cities.

Escaped Convicts At Large From Ferguson Prison Farm

Ex service men warned of IWW campaign, Congress told

Washington March 24 The IWW is alleged to run an extensive campaign among ex service men aimed at forming a coalition to overthrow the government. J E Holden Utah and BH Scrugham Nevada testified before the House Ways and Means Committee declaring ex service men feel unfairly treated and that the program for veterans costs about 2.1 billion dollars. Holden described radical activity in hospitals and quoted pamphlets given to a wounded man. Scrugham cited percentages of service men influenced and urged action to counter the IWW effort and protect veterans.

Judge Charges Jury in Steen Murder Trial

German cabinet resigns and Ebert to form new ministry
