A Government air mail aviator on the Chicago Cleveland route, believed to be W. Stoner of Cleveland, plunged from the clouds and was crushed to death six miles west of New Carlisle Indiana. He was 28, unmarried, and had served six months in the mail service. In Miami a separate crash killed three airmen, Charles Samgaré, Mechanics Earle and Blanchard, late Tuesday.
