A 38 year old man was shot through the right lung by a 10 year old boy with an air rifle at about 10:20 this morning in the rear of a West End general merchandise store on Kentucky Avenue. Police say the shooting was accidental. The injured man was taken to Kinney’s Sanitarium where doctors reported his condition is serious but improving. The boy was turned over to juvenile authorities and a statement was deferred pending his mother’s return.
