World Fair to feature dog show and international pavilions

The World Fair will include a dog show in the livestock exhibit and a series of national participations. Austria will have an official exhibit with a soon to be appointed representative, while Ireland and Denmark announce formal involvement. South America plans full participation, Chili budgets 225000 pesos, and a prominent English breeder will display Old English Game fowls and Dorkings. National Party Nomination Convention in Sweet Town

A large turnout of National party voters met Monday in Sweet Town to nominate for Senate and Council. Hon. Ellis Starr was named for Senate and approved by acclimation. For council, Geo. McCain Geo. Silk and Geo. Chuculate stood, with Geo. Chuculate winning the nomination on the largest vote. The nominations are expected to strengthen the national ticket in Sequoyeh district.

National Party Platform Pledges Cherokee Nation Rights

The National party pledges to use government authority to secure national rights for Cherokee citizens and to pursue a final settlement with the United States over lands and funds. It calls for enrollment of all born since Sept 1, 1902, supports funding for Cherokee orphans, and seeks fair value for public buildings to add to per capita distribution. Endorsed June 12, 1908 at Tahlequah.
