Mine Explosion At Rogers Entry In Rockwood Tennessee

A coal mine explosion at the Rogers Entry of the Roane County mine in Rockwood Tennessee was reported this morning. Sixty five miners were at the point when the blast occurred and no word had reached officials by noon. A rescue party was organized and deputy state mine inspector A J Holden joined the investigation team. The extent of damage and exact cause remained undetermined after three hours.
