Countess Cathcart Immigration Case Upheld

In a March decision Judge Mondy sustained a writ of habeas corpus for the Countess of Cathcart after immigration officials denied entry on moral grounds. The ruling held adultery is not a crime under South African law where acts occurred, and the immigration board was found to err in applying law.
