Port of Portland Ends Drainage Controversy With Dam Removal Pact
After months of dispute among Multnomah County drainage district No 1 and Peninsula district landowners over two dams on Columbia Slough and 8000 acres of overflow land, the Port of Portland Commission agrees to contract with the district to remove dams when the Port elects.
