Dragnet Captures Six In City Gambling Raid

At the last council meeting the city attorney scolded the police for laxity as crimes increased. A raid on 113 Burlington street netted John Bunn Frank Heck and others including Al Harris L E Walker R D Jackson and a man named Gregory on gambling charges. Bail posted or forfeited, trials set for Thursday and Friday with fines ranging from 15 to 20 and some cases sent to the justice court for higher penalties. Gregory fled the country.

Home Telephone Co to Extend Line into St Johns
