Never Again Nymphs Cause Panic At Lake in Moonlit Litchfield

A gang of girls staged a moonlight “Nymphs” dance by a Bantam lake, disrobing for a swim. A passing automobile headlamp startled them, sending them scrambling over rocks and bushes as the car sped away. The incident left several girls scratched and subdued, but no injuries reported.

Portland Special Election on Nov 2 Voters face many bond and charter questions

Portland voters will decide a special election on November 2 to approve a city charter commission form of government, bond issues totaling 3.65 million for parks, bridges, markets, auditorium, garbage crematory, and street and utility projects plus numerous amendments.
