A Methodist church at St John Oregon passed resolutions Sept 1 1912 praising Oswald West governor for addressing crime and enforcing laws. They pledged support and appointed a committee to send copies to Governor West, noting unanimous approval at morning services with signatures including W R Hollenbeck H Q Brown J T Brooks and others.
Laurel Lodge No 186 officers and brothers express sincere sympathy on the death of the beloved wife of brother A W Lambert. Portland voters will decide a special election on November 2 to approve a city charter commission form of government, bond issues totaling 3.65 million for parks, bridges, markets, auditorium, garbage crematory, and street and utility projects plus numerous amendments.
