Thirty members of H. B. Compson W. R. C. No. 62 gathered at Mrs. Mary Chaney's home to bid farewell to Mrs. Decker and Mrs. Vandenberg as they relocate to other states. A bountiful dinner, hand work, and lively conversation followed. On August 21 the Corps hosted department officers and post members with speeches and refreshments. The next meeting is set for September at the hall for annual inspection. The Gen. H. B. Compson Post picnic at Columbia Park was a success enjoyed by all.
