Council Settles District No 2 Sewer Question At Last

New Bank Building Plank for East St Johns Co

A two story reinforced concrete building is planned by East St Johns Land Co for East St Johns. The irregular frontage totals 50 feet on Depot Street 55 on Banks Street and 65 feet deep. First floor will house a bank and two stores while the upstairs will serve as a hotel. Heavy glass fronts with show windows and prism transom s will dominate the facade. Construction on the basement excavation has begun and superstructure work will start after the contract is awarded. A concrete vault will be a feature of the banking room and the stores will be well provided. The project is expected to cost about ten thousand dollars.
