Rev. Alderson an 82 year old pioneer minister of the Oregon conference M E church was killed near Albany when struck by a freight train on a trestle. He had been visiting a daughter and was en route to Portland to board a train. Funeral held at Sunnyside Methodist church after schools dismissed for the serving of the ceremony.
