The Bachelors celebrate C. B. Currin by transforming him into a feathered black faced figure for a public prank. He is escorted through town to a theater and rink with Perrine's band playing, banners proclaiming Currin says I'm married, and a humorous roost sendoff follows. Currin, longtime active member, accepts the joke in good humor as he transitions from Bachelor to Benedict.

Highline Driveway Planned Between Portland and Linnton

The Sun-day’s Journal describes the proposed Highline Driveway along the Williamette hills from Blytheswood to Linnton about 14 miles long. Property owners would grant a 200 foot right of way with one remaining deed from Scotland awaited. Construction would start within a month and the city would hard surface the road after completion. A 120 foot parkway along the lower side and trolley space are planned. The route begins at Thurman Street and climbs to Skyline Boulevard with a maximum grade of four percent. The outlook includes expansive views of Portland and adjacent rivers and ranges.
