City Hall Plans Urged for a Better St Johns Building

Sudden Death of G H Carlson on Columbia Slough
G H Carlson died during a duck hunting trip on the Columbia slough near the city on a Saturday morning. He was 45, a founder and longtime president of a local basket factory and veneer works, and a member of Modern Woodmen Hoo Hops and United Artisans. The funeral was held Monday at Coroner Finley’s chapel in Portland, with a special train taking friends to the cemetery.
