A Fine Residence Showcases Hollow Concrete Block Home

The tour covered a Dutch kitchen with spice cupboard, two draining boards, a model pantry, a boiler room with an efficient hot water heater, and three tons of coal for winter warmth. The upstairs features a connected parlor living area, large bed rooms, bath access from any room, and a loft that could become three more bedrooms. Walls claimed moisture resistance from cement and sand blocks, with a moisture test noted as Mrs Hollister’s clothes hung against walls. A cool, dark fruit room off the kitchen was highlighted, leading to a porch. Continued on page 4.
