Splendid Record Judge Hawkins Seeks Nomination for District Judge
Martin W. Hawkins, a St Johns Community Club member and appointee January 11 to fill Judge Arthur Dayton's unexpired term in Department No. 8, seeks the nomination for the office. Born February 20, 1888, he came to Oregon in 1897, settled in Portland, studied at the University of Oregon and law at the U of O, admitted 1913, served in World War I, rose to major, resumed law practice in Portland, joined Russell F. Sewell in 1920, and was appointed January 1, 1920 to fill Dayton's unexpired term in Department No. 3.
