Voter turnout exceeded expectations with about 740 of 1171 registered casting ballots. Weather and extended polling hours boosted participation as both parties and independents reported varied totals. Winners include Republican Mayor Bredeson and Recorder Dunsmore in multiple tickets, with Democratic and Progressive contenders listed per ward and office.
Detailed election results showing First Ward and Second Ward counts by Democratic and Progressive tickets with votes for Mayor, Recorder, Treasurer, Attorney, and Council positions. Karl Edling and Eleah L Hathaway were married Tuesday noon at the bride's parents home with immediate relatives present. The groom, a bright and steady young man, is the son of Valentine Edling of Germany, while the bride, well known in St Johns and Portland, is the daughter of Frank Hathaway, merchant at Ritter Oregon. After May rat the couple will travel to Montana.

New Business Building McKinney and Davis announce a fireproof brick and tile structure on Jersey and Baltimore streets. At 25 by 60 feet it will house Fairchilds, a Portland meat merchant, with a modern market layout including built-in H box glass counters and neat, attractive bulletts to serve its sanitary purpose on the Peninsula.

The Order of Moose held a rink session last Thursday with 81 initiates and five boxing matches led by marquee bouts between sailors from Boston. Moose pictures from Portland entertained 276 attendees, followed by feast, song, and stories. A visiting Portland Moose sang in three languages and the Portland Moose Orchestra performed. The evening included attendance from the Portland degree team, band, and orchestra. A local church notice follows about Richmond and Ivanhoe streets with service times.
