Corner stone laid for Roosevelt High amid grand Masonic ceremony
The Roosevelt High School cornerstone was laid with a large St Johns turnout last Saturday in a ceremony led by Masons. Mrs Roosevelt sent a note of appreciation from Sagamore Hill while W F Woodward read Theodore Roosevelt’s call for Americanism and unity. The 24 room building will serve 1200 pupils and absorb James John and nearby high schools, with plans mirroring Franklin High, as upgrades and street paving plans proceed.
