Measurements show widths of 76.4 feet at Jersey Street and 75.44 feet at the river with the city dock extending six feet on private property and nine feet in the river. The survey, based on old monuments at Richmond and Albany, accounts for the irregular wedge shape due to property purchases by the late James Johns and settles disputes over the thoroughfare.
