Willie's Funeral and Tragic Death at Point View
Willie Swan 14 year old son of Mr and Mrs Peter Swan from Point View died after severe nosebleeds and possible kidney hemorrhage. Born July 24 1881 in Center County Nebraska he moved with family through Black Hills Idaho to Oregon. Funeral held Friday at Evangelical church with Rev EB McVicker officiating. interment Love cemetery. He was a devout Sabbath school attendant and bell ringer. The obituary notes family sorrow and ensuing tensions at home.
