Council Meets Sets Plans and Appointments

All council members attend the regular cy council meeting except one. They discuss accepting Mrs. Cramer’s plot on Willamette boulevard for a Home Building Company project of twelve to fifteen cottages. Fire department staffing changes are approved and rules drafted for paid firefighters. Roadway routes near the Western Cooperage tract are reviewed. Ordinances to vacate portions of Pierce Edison Osborn and Buchanan streets are authorized for right of way. Bur street improvements are noted and weed fire prevention measures considered. Bert Olin is placed on regular street brigade salary at 65 dollars per month.

Foreign investment backs eight story dockside plant plan
