Huge Projects for 1908 Open Spring Construction in Portland

Portland plans for 1908 include Swift & Co packing plant on the peninsula with six story manufacturing and five story killing buildings, 225 by 150 feet, plus two two story support structures. A Harriman railroad tunnel under the peninsula and new bridge work are also in progress as concrete firms estimate lining costs and approaches. Portland Journal notes early work beginning between March 1 and 15 and anticipates a full year to complete the plant.

Great Progress in St Johns

Hunter Larson Nuptials at Dr Hunter Residence
