Death of Mrs Moe of South Sereey Street
Death occurred Wednesday November 26 at St Vincent’s hospital Portland from blood poisoning. Born September 2 1804 in Washington state, she was 19 years two months four days old. Married June 12 1911 to William Moe, she leaves a daughter Wylla, sisters Mrs June Freeze of Seattle and Miss Mary Hayworth of Rainier, and parents Mr and Mrs Thos Hayworth of Rainier. Funeral Sunday afternoon at Blackburn parlors near Congretational church, services by E Mur ey. Interment Rose City Park cemetery.

St Johns Juniors Fall to Hood River in Thanksgiving Clash
St Johns Juniors traveled to Hood River for a Thanksgiving game against the High School of Hood River. Despite weight disadvantage and disputed officiating, St Johns fought hard. Hood River opened with a long field goal, St Johns answered with Williford’s 35 yard score but failed on the extra point. Half ended 6 04 in favor of St Johns but Hood River rallied to win 22 to 6. A Saturday morning fire at Lauthers Mercantile Company on First Street caused about 80 cans of damage. Believed started by embers from debris between the warehouse and a freight car on a sidetrack. The fire was quickly controlled. most of the warehouse was saved though cement cereal and other contents were damaged. Machinery from Oregon Flute Cleaner Co. was damaged. the freight car was lightly damaged. no insurance covered the property.
