Doric lodge builds new quarters in St Johns district

Dome lodge No. 182 A F and A M bought three buildings in St Johns business district to house a lodge room, general hall, offices and stores. Estimated cost 25000 dollars. Doric lodge officers include A R Davis and J M Blair. Minerva chapter No. 105 Eastern Star now has 140 members. Doric lodge chartered June 11 1908 with early members listed. Dorie lodge is among St Johns leading citizens in local development.

North School forms cooking club with officers and members

A cooking club organized at North School on Wednesday April 14 lists Kath erine Bonham as president and Dollie Harrie as vice president with Alice Glaub Audrey Waite Justine Ford and Marion Banbury as members. Under T D Kirkpatrick Urban Club Leader the club operates through the Extension Service of Oregon Agricultural College in Agriculture and Home Economics and plans to enter all competitive contests. Mrs Hagenbuch serves as club leader.

Salvation Army salvages waste paper while aiding men
