Democrats Open Local Headquarters in St Charles County
Democrats will open local headquarters at 545 First Capitol Drive for the November general election. Hubert F. Stewart chairs the central committee with Dave Stewart and Ann Jackson in charge. Local candidates will join events at the St Charles Plaza Shopping Center and a Sept. 27 barbecue rally at the county fair grounds proceeds briskly.

Parking Ban Imposed on First Capitol Drive For Paving
The Missouri Highway Dept forbids parking along both sides of First Capitol Drive from Kingshighway to Second and along Second from First Capitol to Tecumseh during a paving project. Work starts with the center lanes, traffic limited to existing lanes, then shifts as sections are paved. The $5,000 ton project on Highway 94 is led by B and K Construction Co. as contractor.
