Mrs Beverly Hemeyer won a blue ribbon and the tri color award for a top display at the Spring Fling Flower Show hosted by four federated garden clubs of St. Charles County. Her entry featured Bearded Iris Siberian Iris and Yellow Mums framed by Leatherleaf and Iris leaves. She lives at 908 Lewiston.
Mrs Beverly Hemeyer and Mrs Agnes Koonce shared top honors in the Tri Color Creativity Spring Fling Flower Show sponsored by First Capitol Mark Twain Rolling Acres Up C and the Daisy Garden Clubs of St Charles County. The two day event at St Johns United Church of Christ Hall awarded blue ribbons to Spring In All Its Glory and Grand Finale and listed other blue ribbon entries including Romantic Glory Lets Fence Reflections of Spring Eternal Spring Top of the Morning and Clowning Around. The Award of Merit went to a red violet plant in the Hort iculture class and Agnes Kense won a separate prize for Patriotic Tribute.
The St. Charles County Democratic Club holds its regular monthly meeting tonight at 8 p.m. in the Circuit Court room of the S&S Charles County Courthouse. Fred Shaw conservation agent of Missouri will moderate a film The Lower Float about floating the Current River. All Democratic candidates for state or local offices are invited to attend.
